Cloaking Affiliate Links – How Do You Cloak Them?

Some people are saying that cloaking affiliate links helps to protect the links from being stolen or changed. I am not sure about that, but I can definitely say that your links look much more professional, when they are cloaked and they become more clickable, rather than some tinyurl or plain hoplink. So what are the best methods to cloak your affiliate links?
There are some special software on the market, which offer you automatic cloaking or other features, but I personally think those tools are just useless. You can simply cloak your links using HTML or PHP redirect, and you are done. There is no need to purchase some expensive programs. The coding for those redirects can easily be found in Google, but I will put them here for you.
Guys, I know, that there are some other cloaking methods, but I think these are the most common and safe ways to cloak your affiliate links. So I am not going to list here 100’s of cloaking ways, because HTML and PHP are just perfect. Ok, so here’s coding.
HTML Redirect
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv=”refresh” content=”0;URL=http://AFFILIATE.PUBLISHER.hop.clickbank.net”>
</head>
</html>
PHP Redirect
<?php
header(”Location: http://AFFILIATE.PUBLISHER.hop.clickbank.net”);
?>
While for you it might be obvious where to put these coding, some people still don’t know that. So basically, what you need to do first, is to create a folder on your domain, through cpanel or ftp, it doesn’t matter. Then you copy one of those coding and paste in notepad. Save it as “index.html” or “index.php” (without quotes), depending on which coding you want to use. Don’t forget to change the affiliate links to yours, and the publisher ID as well. You can also add tracking ID to the hoplink, but it’s optional.
Then you just upload the index file to the folder you created and that’s it. You are done. For example, you have created a folder “commissionblueprint” on your domain, and suppose your domain is abc123.com. So now, if you go to abc123.com/commissionblueprint it will redirect through your hoplink to the publisher’s website.
By the way, if you are wondering what is Commission Blueprint, then you can check out my review of it here.

I totally agree that there is no need for anyone to pay for a link cloaking software.
However, there is a great free alternative that I’ve used for the past year and it costs nothing.
It’s extremely effective and very easy to use. No-one will see your affiliate link or view your page source. You can even use the advanced cloaking option to set a cookie on your visitor’s computer to ensure you get sales from returnees.
Just enter the link you wish to cloak, your desired page title, click a button and you are presented with an encrypted HTML file to upload to your chosen directory on your server.
What’s more, once you download the software you can give it away yourself – full rights are included. You will never be asked to pay a penny and can use the software for as long as you like – no license restrictions or upgrades required.
I highly recommend it – it’s called Cloaker Buzz Elite and you can download it here:-

Looks promising.
If it’s free, then it’s probably useful.
