Spamming Links In Comments

I am bit tired of deleting spam links from comments, so in this short post I would like to tell something to those people, who spam links to their websites on my blog.

Listen guys, you can put as many links in your comments as you like, and post them anywhere you like, but do you actually know, that they don’t get published until I approve them? Do you know that you are wasting your own time? If I see some idiot posting bunch of links in the comments with fake email, obviously I will delete it.

Instead of trying to promote your websites in such stupid way, you should think about posting useful replies to my posts, and adding website link in the provided section of the comment form. This way I will not only publish your comment as a sensible one, but also I may visit your website myself.

It works this way. If see some guy have written a nice reply to my post with his link, I will always try to answer as well, and I will also visit his website. My blog is not the right place to spam links. Actually, you shouldn’t do that at all. Spam doesn’t work anywhere. Forums, emails, blogs, etc. You can spam your links anywhere you like, but it simply useless. No one is going to click your link, unless you’ve written something interesting, or you are a well-known person in the community.

I hope now you understand, that what you are doing is just wasting your own time. It takes me less than 5 seconds to delete all idiotic comments. So you should seriously think about how you are promoting your website. Here’s my advice:

1. Write some articles about the topic of your website and submit them to article directories linking back to your blog

2. Join some forums, put your website in your signature and start helping others, while learning yourself something new.

3. Submit your website to directories to get quality backlinks.

If you really want to get some serious traffic to your site, then you should consider doing SEO for it. I’ve been experiencing the exact same situation like you. I don’t know why they are still wasting their time posting those spammy comments, since they know it won’t be accepted.

I don’t really care, because it doesn’t take much time to delete them, but I just don’t see a point of spamming those links.

Hey, Steven! I know exactly what you mean - I too get whole bunch of those, and I too have to approve them first…

I am sure most of the bloggers do the same, this is why I really do not understand why they spam if those comments NEVER get approved…

Blackman, I do understand your point mate and I do get a lot of these “fake” comments every day. Although, they already know I am not going to accept them, they just keep on sending them to me.

The worst thing is, I have several sites online, so I received a lot of these spamming links and some of them are not even related to some of my sites, so I guess this is just something that we have to deal with as Internet Marketer and keep on moving forward.

By the way, you have been doing a great job with this site, so just keep doing your thing mate.

    To Your Success,

    Megarudy
